Kicking Up Connection: FUEL’s Kickball Event Brings Men Together for Fun and Purpose

On a sunny afternoon filled with laughter, community spirit, and dusty high-fives, the FUEL Community Project hosted one of our most energizing events yet—a classic kickball showdown with a deeper purpose. Designed to unite generations of men and boys, this wasn’t just about the game. It was about connection, leadership, and legacy.

Why We Played: More Than Just Kickball

This wasn’t your average sandlot scrimmage. While players of all ages ran the bases, the heart of the day centered around personal growth and brotherhood. Here’s what was on offer:

🔹 Young Men’s Ultimate Weekend

Teenage boys had a chance to learn about the Young Men’s Ultimate Weekend—a powerful, immersive experience designed to help young men discover their strengths, confront their fears, and become the leaders our world needs. Many walked away inspired—and signed up for this summer’s adventure.

🔹 Men’s Weekend

For grown men, we spotlighted the transformational Men’s Weekend, an opportunity to reconnect with purpose, power, and integrity. It’s a space where men can explore what it really means to be the best version of themselves—and many were eager to take that next step.

🔹 Volunteer to Mentor

We also welcomed men ready to pay it forward. By volunteering as mentors at the Young Men’s Ultimate Weekend, men can support the next generation and pass on the wisdom and strength gained through experience.

Who Showed Up? Everyone.

This was a true community event—open to fathers, sons, uncles, nephews, brothers, and friends. Whether someone came to play, spectate, or just connect, the field was a space for shared experience and generational bridging.

What Went Down: Food, Fun, and Fellowship

The kickball game was fast-paced and full of laughter, but the post-game meal might’ve been the highlight. Over delicious food, deep conversations were sparked. Young men asked big questions. Older men shared their journeys. Everyone left with something meaningful.

This wasn’t just food—it was fuel. Fuel for new friendships. Fuel for mentorship. Fuel for growth.
