FUEL Community Project Celebrates a Night of Fun and Brotherhood with the Oakland Roots!
FUEL Community Project joined the Oakland Roots for a night of fun, connection, and community pride. With 22 volunteers, mentors, and young men in attendance, the season finale featured performances, fireworks, and a 3–0 Roots victory! Thank you to the Oakland Roots for their generous support and partnership in mentoring young men.
A Night to Remember at the Oakland Roots Season Finale
On Friday, October 25, FUEL Community Project joined forces once again with our friends at the Oakland Roots for their final regular season game — and what a night it was!
We brought out 22 volunteers, mentors, and young men from our community for an unforgettable evening filled with fun, connection, soccer, music, and fireworks. From the moment we arrived, the energy in the stadium was electric.
More Than a Game: A Celebration of Community and Culture
The night was packed with excitement — multiple live performances, a student fashion show, and a spectacular fireworks display to close out the regular season. And to top it all off, the Roots delivered a commanding 3–0 victory, giving everyone plenty to cheer about!
But beyond the celebrations, this event was about something deeper. It was about connection — bringing young men together with positive mentors and community members in a space full of pride, culture, and belonging.
